ROV training
Our sites teams have been undergoing training recently in the operating of an ROV.
The Remotely Operated Vehicle, or ROV for short, is owned by Organic Sea Harvest and was purchased as a key tool in the ongoing operations on our sea sites.
This versitile piece of equipment can be our eyes under the surface of the water to assist with inspecting site infrastructure, along with hull inspections of boats and barges. The ROV can also be used during grading or harvesting.
Utilising an ROV doesn't remove the need for divers to attend the sites on occasions, but it does allow us to respond quickly to certain situations during operations.
These pictures were taken during a recent training session at Staffin slipway in some challenging conditions! Thank you to AlphaGeo UK for delivering the training.
