No Acoustic Deterrent Devices at Organic Sea Harvest

The North East of Skye is home to dolphins, porpoises and whales, that pass the OSH sites on their normal sea routes.

There are a number of viewpoints and locations on the Trotternish peninsula where you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of them!

Organic Sea Harvest do not use Acoustic Deterrent Devices, which might interfere with the animals as they pass by, on any of our sites.

In March 2021, the Scottish Salmon Producers Organisation (SSPO) set out the position of the aquaculture sector on the use of acoustic deterrent devices via a press release which can be found here.
