Organic Sea Harvest  and  Landcatch Natural Selection, based out of Ormsary, Lochgilphead have begun the process of entering into a long term collaboration for the provision of smolt supplies.

The first freshwater juveniles for the first of Organic Sea Harvest's marine farms on the NE coast of the Isle of Skye are growing well and on track for delivery during the spring of 2020.

The longer term plan would see Landcatch invest substantially over the next two years and upgrade one of their existing hatcheries to create a dedicated and organically accredited facility for the production of all of Organic Sea Harvest's smolt requirements.

Through this alliance Organic Sea Harvest secures the best possible smolt supplies to complement their marine farms and in turn their future Organic Salmon production plans and strategy.

The first smolts to sea are planned for spring 2020 as previously announced.
